IELTS course and exam simulator
Practice every IELTS skill — Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking — with realistic mock tasks and instant feedback.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the English proficiency test run by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge University Press & Assessment, and it is accepted for university admission, professional registration and migration. It reports a 9-band score across Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The Job Tests Portal IELTS product is paid, independent preparation behind a login: lesson modules for all four skills, full-length timed practice tests, writing and speaking prompts with model answers, and estimated band scores for your own study tracking. We prepare you for the exam; we do not administer it.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Is this affiliated with the official IELTS test?
No. This is independent preparation material and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the British Council, IDP, or Cambridge Assessment English. Always check current requirements on the official test provider's website.
Does it cover both Academic and General Training?
Mostly no. The course and the practice sets are built for IELTS Academic; General Training is covered only by a Task 1 letter-writing lesson. Check which IELTS test your university, regulator or visa route asks for.
Can I practise the Speaking and Writing sections?
Yes. You can practise Writing Task 1 and Task 2 and compare your answers with sample answers, and record your Speaking answers and play them back for self-review. Writing gets an unofficial, rule-based practice estimate; Speaking is not scored.
Can I practise under timed conditions?
Yes. Sections can be practised under realistic time limits so you get used to the pace of the exam.
Is the IELTS practice on Job Tests Portal free?
No. The IELTS course and the exam simulator are paid products and you need an account to open them. The exam body publishes free sample tests and band descriptors of its own, and those are linked further down this page.
Who scores the Writing and Speaking practice?
You do, against model answers and the published band descriptors. Our band figures are study estimates for tracking your own progress; only a test centre can issue an IELTS result.
