Digital TestDaF course and exam simulator
Prepare for the digital TestDaF at B2–C1 level, with a simulator that recreates one-listen audio, forced-forward navigation and recorded speaking.
The digital TestDaF (Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache) is Germany's computer-delivered academic German exam, run by g.a.s.t. / TestDaF-Institut at licensed centres worldwide. It reports TDN 3 to TDN 5 per skill, and TDN 4 in all four parts is the usual university benchmark. The Goethe-Zertifikat is a separate German exam some universities accept instead; we do not prepare for it. The Job Tests Portal German product is paid, independent preparation behind a login: drills for the digital task types and a timed simulator that recreates one-listen audio, forced-forward navigation and hard-cut recorded speaking.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a beginner German course?
No. It prepares you for the digital TestDaF, so it assumes solid intermediate German (around B2) and works at B2–C1 level throughout.
Does it match the digital test or the paper one?
The digital test. The simulator reproduces one-listen audio, forward-only navigation, typed writing and recordings that stop when the timer ends. The paper TestDaF still exists but has a different structure.
What TDN level do I need, and does this course award one?
Universities usually ask for TDN 4 in all four parts. The level we show is a study estimate per skill for your own tracking — only g.a.s.t. / TestDaF-Institut awards a TDN.
How many mock exams are included?
Ten full-length mock exams plus interactive drills for the digital task types, all under exam timing.
How long is the digital TestDaF, and how is the time split?
About 190 minutes of testing, plus unscored pilot items: roughly 55 minutes Lesen, 40 minutes Hören, 60 minutes Schreiben and 35 minutes Sprechen. The sections run in that order, which is why the practice sets are timed the same way.
Does a TestDaF result expire?
g.a.s.t. places no time limit on the result itself, but some universities ask for one less than two years old, so check the admissions page before you rely on an older certificate.
