Compare rates — original JTP exercise practice

A fictional team resolves 18 of 24 requests on Monday and 28 of 40 on Tuesday. Monday's resolution rate is 18/24 = 75%; Tuesday's is 28/40 = 70%. Tuesday resolves more requests, while Monday has the higher rate. The difference is 5 percentage points. This is original practice, not a Equinor question or a claimed test format.

Måler: Practice focus: distinguish counts, rates and percentage points.

  • Write the requested quantity before calculating.
  • Label the numerator and denominator.
  • Explain why a larger count does not necessarily mean a larger rate.
  • Create a different example to check the method.

Vanlige feil

  • Comparing counts without checking their totals.
  • Confusing percentage points with relative percentage change.
Read a conditional rule — original JTP exercise practice

A fictional note says every report approved before noon was sent that day. Report A was approved before noon, so the rule establishes that A was sent that day. Report B was sent that day, but that alone does not establish when it was approved. The rule works in one direction. This is a JTP example, not Equinor assessment material.

Måler: Practice focus: separate stated evidence from an assumption.

  • Identify the condition and its consequence.
  • Do not reverse the rule.
  • Name the information needed to settle an unanswered question.

Vanlige feil

  • Treating a necessary condition as sufficient.
  • Adding facts that the passage never states.

🎤 Intervjuer

Explain your own decision — independent exercise

Choose a real occasion when a deadline conflicted with a quality concern. Explain what you knew, your responsibility, the options and your own action. State the result accurately and explain what you would change with hindsight. Rehearse a follow-up question about evidence that could have changed your decision.
